INTERNATIONAL | Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi – Efforts never betray results, that's what a teacher at the State 3 Kendari Junior High School (SMP) Hernawati (38) felt. He was declared to have passed the selection of teaching staff at the Indonesian Overseas School (SILN) in 2021.
Ernawati was the only teacher who passed to represent Bumi Anoa, Southeast Sulawesi. He did not expect after receiving the graduation information.
The reason, from the number of registrants who took part in the selection reached a thousand people. During the administrative selection and completeness of the files, he passed along with 264 other people. The next stage there are 240 people and on August 18 2021 they were announced to have passed along with 77 other teaching staff.
"Initially I got the information from social media. Then I entered the official SILN website and completed the files as needed," she said, Thursday (19/8).
This PPKn subject teacher admitted that various stages and selections had been passed since last February-June 2021. However, thanks to his sincerity and seriousness, various kinds of challenges and difficulties can be passed smoothly.
The most interesting thing for Ernawati to remember was when she was asked by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education and Culture about her vision and mission if she was selected or passed the SILN teacher selection.
"When I was interviewed about the vision and mission of teaching there, I answered that I would introduce culture, instill values ??of patriolism, and nationalism to Indonesian children in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia," he added.
Now, he is preparing to become a teacher in the Saudi Arabian City for 3 years from 2022 to 2025.
To note, Ernawati is an alumni of Halu Oleo University (UHO) and completed her studies in 2006. He has also been a teacher at SMP Negeri 3 Kendari. Then he continued his master's degree at Gajah Mada University (UGM) and graduated in 2012.
In 2018, he became interested in participating in national-scale activities starting from the Scientific Writing Bimtek (KTI) and Journals at P4TK Civics and Social Sciences in Malang City in 2018.
Then the Teacher Protection workshop in Solo and has participated in the Constitutional Award, the Constitutional Court in Jakarta.
