INTERNATIONAL | INDRAGIRI HULU, RIAU - Bukit Tiga Puluh National Park or commonly called Bukit Thirty is a National Park located in Sumatra , Indonesia . Bukit Tiga Puluh National Park is one of a series of mountains that has the potential for a fairly high diversity of plant and animal species.
The types of ecosystems in the Bukit Tiga Puluh National Park forest are Lowland Forest, Pamah Forest and Highland Forest . As well as various types of flora that live in this National Park , among others: Jelutung ( Dyera costulata ), Red Gum ( Palaquium spp ), Pulai ( Alstonia scolaris ), Kempas ( Koompassia excelse ), Tassel ( Shorea spp ), Rimau Muka Muka ( Refflesia hasseltii ), Jernang or Dragon's Blood Palm ( Daemonrops draco ), and also various types of Rattan who live in this National Park . Cendawa Muka Rimau is one of the plants that can be called a typical and endemic plant that lives in the Bukit Tiga Puluh National Park.
This National Park has about 59 species of mammals, 6 species of primates, 151 species of birds including the Javan Eagle, 16 species of Bats and also various types of Butterflies. In addition, this National Park also has many rare habitats that have become extinct, only some of which are indeed maintaining and protecting these rare animals. There are several kinds of rare animal habitats including: Sumatran elephant ( Elephas maximus ), Sumatran striped tiger ( Panthera tigris sumatraensis ), deer ( Cervus unicolor ), Siamang ( Hylobates syndactylus ), langur ( Presbytis cristata).) and there are many more rare hewant names that live in this Park, also as a Hydro-orological protection of the Kuantan Indragiri River Basin District ( DAS ) .
Initially, this National Park area was a protected forest and limited production forest . However, the conditions in this National Park Forest area can be called relatively unspoiled.
The life of the community around this National Park is a tribe with relatively traditional customs and culture, namely the Anak Dalam Tribe, the Talang Mamak Tribe . The surrounding community, especially the Talang Mamak Tribe, believe that the hills and plants in this national park have magical powers in their lives. Indirectly, they actively participate in maintaining and protecting the hills/plants in the National Park.

Bukit Tiga Puluh National Park holds a wealth of extraordinary flora and fauna. Inside there are about 660 species of plants, 246 of which are medicinal plants that are often used by local residents. And also various types of step species that have been recorded according to what has been discussed on the next page.
In addition, in this National Park area there is also a Nibung tree ( Oncosperma tigilarium ), this tree is a kind of wild palm, seen from a distance that is similar to the areca nut tree, which is spatially classified from the Palmae tribe . This tree grows in clumps, has a straight trunk that reaches a height of 20 to 30 meters. The habitat of this type of plant is in coastal forests of brackish water, and develops naturally. For the people of Riau, this Nibung tree has its own meaning, namely as a symbol of the spirit of unity and brotherhood of the Riau people. By the Riau Provincial Government , this tree was later used as a Riau Province Mascot.

The Bukit Tiga Puluh National Park area is located in two provinces , namely Riau Province and Jambi Province . The areas covered by Riau Province are located in Indragiri Hulu Regency and Indragiri Hilir Regency . Meanwhile, the areas covered by Jambi Province are located in Bungo Regency , Tebo Regency , and East Tanjung Jabur Regency . Administratively, the government is located in Indragiri Hulu and Indragiri Hilir Regencies, Riau Province and Bungo Tebo and Tanjung Jabu Regencies , Jambi Province.
Access to Bukit Tiga Puluh National Park.
To go to the location of this National Park , visitors can start the journey from the Pekanbaru area, Riau Province . From Pekanbaru, visitors can use the route from Pekanbaru to Siberida ( Indragiri upstream ), which is about 285 km, or takes approximately 4 hours by private vehicle or public transportation ( bus ). From Siberida ( inhu ) visitors can go directly to the location of the Bukit Tiga PuluhNational Park ( TNBT ) either by private vehicle or by rental car.
