Andi Safa Afianzar is the Youngest Student Figure of ITB, Who is Only 16 Years Old
INTERNATIONAL | BANDUNG, WEST JAVA - Andi Safa Afianzar is the youngest student to be accepted as a student at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). The results of ITB's New Student Admissions for the 2021/2022 Academic year, Andi was recorded as a student of the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty. This year Andi turns 16 years old.

This student who graduated from SMAN 15 Surabaya stated that he was ready to become a useful human being.
"I am Andi Safa Afianzar from FMIPA ITB 2021, ready to fill productive days in youth, to become the best adult human being, namely to be the most useful person for many people," he wrote.
Even though he is still relatively young, Andi's thinking can be said to be mature. This can be seen from the comments and responses of Andi's family and friends on Instagram.
Meanwhile, according to a release received by tvOnenews from ITB's PR, this year's New Student Admissions at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), accepted 7,277 new students in Semester I of the Academic Year (TA) 2021/2022. The number consists of 4,355 Undergraduate students, 2,224 Masters Program students, 326 Doctoral Program students, and 372 Professional Program students.
One of these students, Andi Safa Afianzar, was accepted as an undergraduate student at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
While the youngest student in the Master's program, Talitha Kayla Amory, aged 19, was recorded as being accepted in the Informatics department-STEI ITB. And the youngest student of the Doctoral Program named Syed Saquib majoring in Chemical Engineering or FTI, aged 22.
ITB also accepted the oldest student in the Doctoral Program named Rudy Setyo Purnomo, registered in the Management Science Study Program-SBM, who was 69 years old.
"ITB does provide opportunities for anyone to attend lectures regardless of regional origin, gender, and age, as long as they meet academic qualifications," said ITB Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs Jaka Sembiring.
According to the man with the title of professor, the value of education is very important for ITB. The value of education can be interpreted as the glory of education at ITB which lies in the noble values ??and skills that guide and are carried out during education at ITB.
ITB's Education Value reinterprets the motto "In Harmonia Progressio" which has been the basis for building campus life since 1920 into the present context, namely harmony in the four dimensions of humanity: physical, reasoning, emotional, and spiritual. On top of the values ??of harmony, it is necessary to build skills which are the provisions for all ITB graduates.
