Digital Trading Transactions will Reach Rp 330.7 Trillion in 2021
INTERNATIONAL | JAKARTA - The President is Optimistic that Digital Trade Transactions Will Reach Rp 330.7 Trillion The value of Indonesia's digital trade transactions will reach Rp 330.7 trillion in 2021. This was conveyed by the President in his state speech at the MPR Annual Session and Joint Session of the DPR and DPD in 2021 in Senayan Parliament Building, Jakarta, Monday.
"In 2020, the value of Indonesia's digital trade transactions will reach more than Rp. 253 trillion. This value is expected to increase to Rp. 330.7 trillion in 2021," said the President.
He added, as of August this year, more than 14 million MSMEs or 22 percent of the total MSMEs have joined the electronic commerce application.
According to the President, participation in the digital economy is very important because of its huge potential and making it easier for MSMEs to enter the global supply chain.
"The government continues to encourage the development of the digital economy ecosystem to increase people's productivity. The number of MSMEs entering electronic trading applications and market places continues to grow," he continued.
He also emphasized that expanding market access for domestic products is a serious concern for the government. The “Proud to be Made in Indonesia” program will also continue to be intensified, while increasing the competitiveness of local products in global competition.
