Various Monitor Screen Resolutions
INTERNATIONAL | TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS - Currently, monitor or screen manufacturers present their products with various types of resolution variants so that users have many choices to buy a screen or monitor.
Currently there are various resolutions that appear on television screens and monitors in the market such as 720p, 1080p, 1140p, 4K, and 8K.
Letters after numbers such as 'p' and 'i' give an idea of ??whether it is a progressive or interlaced scan display.
On the other hand the number always refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The following is an explanation of the resolutions commonly found on electronic screens:
720p
Screen resolution 720p means the screen has a High Definition resolution, or HD or HD Ready.
1080p
Screen resolution 1080p has a size of 1920 x 1080 or FHD or Full HD resolution.
1440p
Screen resolution 1440p refers to 2560 x 1440. Commonly known as QHD or Quad HD resolution, and is commonly seen on gaming monitors and high-end phones.
1440p has 4 times the sharpness of 720p resolution. There is also a resolution that offers 2960 x 1440 (Quad HD +), which is still included with a resolution of 1440p.
2K
In cinematography, there is a resolution of 2K, and it refers to 2048 x 1080. But in the consumer market, this would be considered 1080p.
Even worse, some display manufacturers use the term 2K for resolutions like 2560 x 1440, because the screens have a horizontal resolution of 2000 pixels or more. Unfortunately, this is a misnomer, as this resolution is 1440p, or Quad HD, and not 2K.
4K or 2160p
A 4K display has a resolution of 3840 x 2160, commonly known as 4K, UHD, or Ultra HD resolution. The 2160p resolution is called 4K because it is close to 4000 pixels wide. In other words, it offers 4 times the pixel size of Full HD.
8K or 4320p
Screen resolutionThis 7680 x 4320 offers 16 more pixels than Full HD. For now, we'll only be looking at 8K TVs which are still quite expensive.
