From inside her kitchen which she called "Dessert By Legit", the woman with three children also succeeded in innovating to create five flavor variants for her risoles products, namely, vegetable, beef mayo, mozzarella, chicken mayo and chicken ragout.
Mistiyati's success did not happen suddenly, but the fruit of her persistence in surviving in the midst of the difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic. At that time, at the beginning of the corona outbreak, the mobile risoles trading business which he had been engaged in for seven years had to decline because his customers had drastically reduced.
The public's concern about the corona virus has made it very difficult for Mistiyati to sell her homemade risoles.
"After the beginning of the pandemic, my business started to decline, then I thought about how I can still earn daily income," said Mistiyati.
Mistiyati then made sales via cell phones and the WhatsApp application. The results are really positive, so many customers order because of the intense promotion between buyers.
"Then initially I offered through the WhatsApp application the risoles with various flavors, until the customers matched it, I could initially sell 10 packs a day, now I can get 300 packs of frozen mayo risoles per day," he said.
Now, his homemade mayo risoles have been sold by 20 resellers in several cities in Jadebotabek, with daily turnover reaching millions of rupiah. With a price of 20 thousand rupiah per pack, Mistiyati continues to try to develop her business. He proves that the crush of circumstances can be a driving force for successful innovation.
