State Education as The Inspiration
Education in Developing Countries

Education in Some of Villages in Developing Country
INTERNATIONAL | NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC INDONESIA - The quality of education is often used as a reflection of the younger generation in a nation. The more educated the population, the more developed and modern a country is. Of course this is supported by facilities, human resources and of course the participation of the government.
Indonesia as an archipelagic country has always had problems with equitable education because of the shape of the country consisting of islands both large and small.
This triggers the emergence of various communities or volunteers either on a national scale or specifically in certain areas. Empowering the community through various movements and innovations attracts various young people who are intellectual, inspiring and want to make a difference.
Let's explore the inspiration of public education that has the motivation to take part through the field of education, as a separate or integrated movement from the government.
Here are some inspirational movements that go directly to realizing the actualization of education in real terms.
1. Island Explore Inspiration Community (KIJP)
The fact that Indonesia is made up of islands has been in the spotlight of volunteer associations that are members of the Inspiration Island Exploration Community (KIJP).
Professionals who care about education in the Indonesian Archipelago, involve the community and government to pay attention to a more equitable education, especially in remote areas.
Different professions visit the islands of Indonesia, especially public schools scattered all over the country. Then attend the classroom and enrich the knowledge of the nation's children about the various professions that exist and they can explore.
In addition, KIJP also thoroughly explores how to realize an ideal, the scope of a job and the benefits of the profession.
2. Indonesia Teaches
It is common knowledge that teachers are unsung heroes. Although heroes are not always there during battles or wars. The teacher undertakes a struggle against ignorance and ignorance.
This is the ambition of the presence of a movement called Indonesia Mengajar.
The solution to solving educational problems in Indonesia is to bring in teaching staff to educate and apply their knowledge and abilities throughout the country.
Remote areas in particular receive the highest priority because generally remote and often backward locations are not of interest to most teachers, unless they are regional children who come from these places.
The presence of Indonesia's best sons and daughters encourages the quality of education with a focus on schools that need assistance due to the location that is far from everywhere.
The teachers also participate in various preparations and trainings to prepare themselves to teach in regional conditions that have various limitations.
Because Indonesia actually consists of more remote islands, of course the existence of Indonesia Mengajar is very helpful for education in a country that is very short of teachers in remote areas.
Through Indonesia Mengajar, the younger generation has the opportunity to apply their knowledge according to the needs of the area.
3. Indonesian Literacy House
A community that is serious about its vision and mission even has a notary deed and is a legal entity. This can be seen from the NUSANTARA RUMAH LITERACY FOUNDATION which is registered as a foundation for education, social and economic empowerment.
This is one example of an inspirational exploration of state education in the official form of a law court to make it easier to accept donations and distribute them.
The foundation, which is located in Banyumas, has a detailed deed, website and activity and financial reports. In addition to being a legal entity, this foundation has an office that can be visited to obtain information for donors or volunteers.
By focusing on activities covering the 3 fields above, the foundation's attention focuses on the interest in reading or literacy in the younger generation.
Something that is still lacking when Indonesia has entered the millennial and digital era. This foundation is actively campaigning for awareness to increase reading and writing activities.
4. The 1000 Teachers Movement
You can be a young teacher, student majoring in education or anyone with a sensibility to improve the nation's education.
This non-formal community specializes in education in real terms through hands-on practice.
The community which was formed by Jemi Ngadiono in 2012 has succeeded in attracting the interest of Indonesian youth to actively participate.
1000 Guru highlights young people by combining education and traveling . Children are invited to learn about an area and maximize its potential.
Especially in remote areas that are still widely available in Indonesia.
In addition to advancing education in areas far from civilization, becoming a teacher by joining 1000 teachers will provide valuable experience for teachers as well.
The Traveling and Teaching program carried out by this community is an activity that highlights the natural beauty and culture that is growing rapidly, especially in areas far from the busy city center.
5. Deep Child Exploration Friend
There are some remote areas that are really far from the touch of technology or modernization. Like the interior of Jambi which is still occupied by primitive tribes who live and rely on their lives in the forest where they live.
The Anak Dalam tribe who inhabit the forests in the interior of Jambi cannot avoid interaction with moderation because of the narrowness of the forest. Eventually, this tribe must get used to interacting with the outside.
The existence of the Anak Dalam Exploration Buddy Community initiated by Mrs. Reny has been at the forefront of bringing this tribe into the modern era.
Organizations that work with various parties such as the government and local Pertamina CSR have plans to carry out various modern interactions in the long term.
In addition to going directly to improve education, this community also teaches the Anak Dalam tribe to follow the national economy and apply it according to the identity of those who have not been able to leave the forest as their place of residence.
Another thing that has become a positive spotlight from this community is the consistent regeneration so that the struggle can continue even though the volunteers keep changing.
Some even continue their education to improve the lives of the Anak Dalam tribe in an integrated manner. The Sobat Eksplorasi Anak Dalam Community (SEAD) prioritizes education, as well as various proper living facilities for the sustainability of this tribe.
6. Homeland Education Tour
Education in disadvantaged areas has always been the concern of various education activists. This is due to the community's low interest in learning, the lack of facilities and the lack of teaching staff.
These three things cause the low interest in studying there.
Homeland education cruising activities are part of the Jepara Springs community work program.
The Chairperson of the Homeland Education Exploration Committee, Muhammad Azwar Anas, said that the members of his community consisted of education enthusiasts from various backgrounds and professions.
Together they made routine activities to visit various elementary schools located in the Karimun Jawa region as the outermost region of Jepara.
The education provided is adjusted to the location and livelihoods of the community, which on average are fishermen, with less access to higher education than other Jepara areas.
The hope is that schools can get assistance in having more adequate facilities, students have high aspirations and become a forum for volunteers to add to their teaching experience as an active contribution to the nation's future education.
The Homeland Education Tour includes writing down goals, introducing self-potential, fairy tale events, games and donations of stationery and reading books for the school library.
7. Banten Mengajar Movement (GBM)
If you look at public education in each underdeveloped or remote area, it turns out that it's not just areas far from the city center.
Even the province of Banten, which is close to the capital city of Jakarta, has several underdeveloped villages with low quality education.
This is what initiated the formation of GBM or the Banten Teaching Movement as an effort to improve the quality of education, facilities and social work in terms of teaching, especially in the Banten area.
This community movement invites various individuals with various professional backgrounds to take part in education issues in Banten.
GBM has a concern for building the ability of youth, especially young teachers through teaching programs in the Banten area.
The program is supported by training and placement for at least two weeks at the designated service location. Besides being able to be used as experience, this program can improve teacher competence, especially in the field of training.
8. Knowledge Sharing Community (RuBI)
The community, which is chaired by Mr. Hikmat Handono, has a myriad of educational programs conducted by members from various walks of life.
The volunteers are young professionals from well-known institutions, universities in the city center who are willing to be placed in various remote or remote places in the name of education.
One of the routine programs carried out to realize proper education for disadvantaged areas is the Rubi Exploration program which is coordinated by Meylin Chisilia as the coordinator.
By mobilizing volunteers with various skills, it is hoped that it will attract local volunteers to participate and develop their area.
This is certainly a transmission of concern for the field of education which is very important to develop a region to the fullest.
There are thousands of volunteers who care about education in the region and as a regeneration, local cadres are needed as regional movers who are infected with the positive spirit of the volunteers who come.
So that the program can continue to run with programmed regeneration. The RuBi community can move to other areas without leaving the previous area to get volunteers who can continue the education program that has been programmed.
It is this positive spirit that characterizes this community in sharing its positive virus.
The existence of a community like this is an opportunity for volunteers to donate their time and energy in these areas.
At the same time, the innovative activities carried out can be transmitted to local youth to continue the volunteer program so that the impact is more significant and sustainable.
9. Mobilization Volunteers
Participating in helping the government in the world of education is certainly the dream of true volunteers.
There are competent individuals who only need a trusted container to be able to channel their care for the world of education.
Therefore, when the Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Makarim, had a plan to hold a Motivating School and create a Motivating Volunteer community, the response from the wider community was very positive.
The Mobilizing Community supports the Mobilizing Organization program programmed by the government as well as being a forum for the community to be able to participate.
Thus, the community does not need to create their own foundation or community, it is enough to join the driving organization so that they will be able to map out the nation's education plan that is in line with the government's plan, especially the Education and Culture section.
10. Ministry of Finance Teaches
One more effort of the government that you can know about in exploring the inspiration of public education.
The government in accordance with their respective divisions can plan educational programs that are implemented in the community according to the fields they are involved in.
Such as the education movement carried out by the Indonesian Ministry of Finance.
Initiated as awareness to introduce various professions related to the economic field.
Its activities include various activities related to efforts to maintain and improve the country's economy.
This community also cooperates with volunteers who are competent in the financial sector to be able to socialize their profession and knowledge by visiting various elementary schools in Indonesia.
This voluntary activity involves employees of the Ministry of Finance without using funds from the APBN (Non-APBN).
Also, the schools, teachers, students and volunteers do not get paid so that everything is carried out purely without government funding even though it is supported in terms of materials and resource persons.
11. Indonesian Children Move (ADIRA)
This community in the field of Youth Education and Development focuses on adolescents around the age of 15 to 20 years.
The contributors and volunteers are in roughly the same age range.
This provides a consistent connection and understanding between those who teach and are taught. Because there are similarities in age and interests according to age.
Its activities carry out various non-formal education programs in several places.
Encouraging the nation's children to develop the potential of volunteerism as a participation in building the nation through education.
In addition to the initial intention to foster a desire to learn for the nation's children who have financial limitations, there are other problems that lead to dropping out of school.
This community activity is to support the nation's children to have an education that is recognized by the state for a better life.
The higher a person's background the more opportunities and opportunities to develop oneself are open to him.
Both volunteers and the children of the nation who are assisted can develop their potential and develop together.
12. Yayasan Pemimpin Anak Bangsa (YPAB)
This non-profit organization highlights the opportunity to get a proper education, especially if it is constrained to attend formal education.
As a legal foundation, YPAB or the Children of the Nation Leaders Foundation provides non-formal education for those who have financial and time limitations.
YPAB provides education that is equivalent to formal education in the form of PKBM (Center for Community Learning Activities).
As a forum for school-age children who had dropped out of school, did not attend school or had stayed in school at various levels of formal education.
They get education and even diplomas that are equal so that they can catch up with their friends who follow normal education.
The PKBM Pemimpin Anak Bangsa program is intended for people with constraints in the formal education system.
Regardless of age background, religion, ethnicity, profession, race, ethnicity, gender, and so on. Anyone can get a quality education that is recognized by the state.
PKBM allows its participants to obtain certification for the Package A, B and C programs since September 10, 2012.
It takes everyone's participation to make a difference.
For every individual who has the care and ability to make a difference, there are various communities, groups and non-profit organizations that are making changes for the quality of education in Indonesia.
You can explore the inspiration of public education through these various volunteer associations, whether in specific areas, supported by the government or on a national scale.
Each of the above movements enriches the community, especially for education for the young generation of the nation's hope.
