Etihad Launches Four New International Routes in Three Days
Abu Dhabi, UAE – Etihad Airways has officially added four new international routes within the past three days, strengthening Abu Dhabi’s position as a global transportation hub.
According from The Times of India, the announcement was made in early November 2025 as part of the airline’s aggressive expansion strategy.
The new Etihad routes connect Abu Dhabi with several key cities in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This move provides more options for both business and leisure travelers, while supporting the UAE’s ambition to become a leading international aviation center.
An Etihad Airways spokesperson said, “This expansion reaffirms our commitment to delivering exceptional service while facilitating global travel from Abu Dhabi. We hope these new routes will drive economic growth and tourism.”
Launching four new routes in just three days is a rare move for a major airline, highlighting Etihad’s aggressive approach to network expansion.
The routes are expected to handle more than 20 weekly flights, with capacity adjusted to meet passenger demand.
Transportation analysts consider the expansion a crucial strategy for competing with other regional carriers. Fatima Al-Hamadi, a transportation expert, was quoted as saying, “Connectivity is key to attracting investment and tourists.”
Moreover, the expansion aligns with the UAE’s plan to increase international tourist arrivals by 15 percent by 2026, while supporting economic growth through the aviation sector and related services.
With these new routes, Etihad is expected to further facilitate global mobility, attract more international travelers, and strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position on the world aviation map.
