LONDON – Andy Burnham has officially become the United Kingdom's new Prime Minister after being invited by King Charles III to form a government at Buckingham Palace on Monday. The Labour leader immediately pledged swift action to tackle the country's cost-of-living crisis, improve public services, and restore political stability.

According to Reuters, Burnham became Britain's seventh prime minister in just over a decade, marking another significant leadership transition during a period of economic and political uncertainty.
